New PM Mishustin says to focus on key tasks of Putin’s address
MOSCOW, Jan 17 (PRIME) – A future Russian government will focus on implementation of the tasks outlined by President Vladimir Putin in his latest address to parliament, new Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Friday after an hour-long meeting with former Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
“The main issue today is to focus on fulfillment of the ideas in the presidential address to the Federal Assembly, which is what we are all doing,” Mishustin said.
The meeting was followed by a meeting with the cabinet.
On Wednesday, the Russian government chaired by Medvedev resigned after the presidential address to parliament. On Thursday, Putin signed appointed Mishustin as Russia’s prime minister.
